Scoring

SCORING

Each preliminary/local/state/regional titleholder will be evaluated during the national pageant by the 5 person selection panel.

Each member of the selection panel will assign a numerical score to each participant in each area of competition on a scale of 1 - 10. The scale does allow for scoring with quarter points with 1 being the lowest score assigned and 10 being the highest. The selection panel will be given a rubric as a guideline for assigning a numerical score. A copy of the rubric is listed in the official participant handbook.

Electronic scoring & tabulation will be utilized and all scores will be released to all participants by division in the password protected contestants only section of the website within one-hour of the conclusion of the national competition.
